Suspended in space, Her Mind in the Cloud embodies the duality of the cloud—as a natural, ever-shifting formation in the sky and as a metaphor for the digital “cloud” where much of our modern lives unfold. Its biomorphic, ascending form suggests a sentient presence—both elusive and alive—inviting contemplation on the parallels between these two realms. Just as clouds in the sky are intangible yet constantly changing, the digital cloud is an unseen network that stores and transmits vast amounts of information, shaping how we think, communicate, and remember.
This sculpture reflects the tension between the ephemeral and the concrete, the physical body and the virtual mind, grounding viewers in a moment of presence amid an increasingly intangible, digitized existence. By making visible this interplay, the work encourages a renewed awareness of our relationship to both nature and technology, and the need to find intimacy and embodiment in a world where so much feels abstract and distant.
